vaccinations for cats

Many serious infectious diseases of cats can be prevented by vaccination. Most cats will come into contact with an infectious disease at some time during their lives. Even indoor cats can be exposed to viruses carried in the air, on clothing, or on your hand. Vaccines work for pets just like they do for people. Vaccinations are an inexpensive protection against costly treatments for even the premature death of your cat.

Cats must be vaccinated against these diseases:
1. Calicivirus
2. Rhinotrachitis
3. Panleukopenia
4. Leukemia
5. Rabies

All of these are killer diseases; all of them exist in Saudi Arabia. Kittens should be vaccinated at 2 or 3 months with a follow up vaccination at 3 or 4 months. To maintain immunity an annual booster vaccination must be given.
